As life, is complicated enough.

It is amazing how often people share the challenges of keeping on top of emails, whether for work or play. The frustration of waiting on a reply, when you have no other way to contact the person, the frustration of not having enough hours in the day to do what needs to be done and then trying to find time to keep on top of emails!

There are always two sides to a story and a bit in the middle. Regarding emails, it is finding a way that works for each of you and maintains positive relationships. The tips sheet in this piece may not have all the answers, however, we hope they offer even one tip which is of value.

E-communication is amazing, it can help us connect with people all over the world, it can save time and it can be an amazing tool when working with others, however, it does not replace having a chat with each other when we can.

It is also important to remember, just because we can be contacted all the time by email does not mean we need to be contacted all the time by email. Finding a balance between using technology in a way which meets our social and business needs and switching off from technology to remember there is a life beyond online.

Turn off your email; turn off your phone; disconnect from the Internet; figure out a way to set limits so you can concentrate when you need to and disengage when you need to. Technology is a good servant but a bad master
