
Things we can do to help make a difference to the environment.
Sometimes it can be very overwhelming all the problems we can have as individuals and the pain and suffering we see on the news others are struggling with.
Then the additional worry of what is happening to the environment, seeing parents are in tears over their fears for air quality their children breathe.
We sometimes wonder, ''what can we do?'' ''it's all too much!'', ''I don't think anything I or anyone else can do can make a difference!''.
There is a Native American Proverb - "We do not inherit the land from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.''
In July 2015, Scotland became one of the first countries to adopt the Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs). The SDGs are a set of 17 goals that all UN member states are using to mobilise efforts to end poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change.
Small changes are happening, and when enough small changes happen, real transformation can occur. Every one of us can be a part of helping bring about the change.
