Sometimes we can feel lonely, but how often is it, what we really mean is we don’t feel useful? Feeling useful matters for our well-being.

We may find ourselves with others and still feel lonely, perhaps because we don’t know what our purpose is with the group.

Perhaps, we are unwell and need to rely on others more than we have in the past, when it used to be they relied on us.

Finding new ways to still feel useful matters regardless of our circumstances. As ever, these tips do not replace professional advice.

They offer some ideas and points of reflection if feeling more useful is a goal you have set yourself.
