Winter survival tips

Tis the season to be jolly’ says who? For people who have lost someone close to them Christmas and New Year can be pretty painful and people can feel less than jolly.

The pressure of who to invite for Christmas or who to visit for Christmas and who will be offended if you don’t spend it with them can be a guilt ridden challenge that you just can’t find a solution that keeps everyone happy.

The list of who wants what for Christmas and how much needs paid on bills grows and grows but the money coming in doesn’t grow to meet these new demands. You might feel like running away and think of how great it would be to have no one to keep happy at Christmas.

Or you live alone and don’t have any family and feel pretty isolated with all the images of what the TV and films suggests happy families should look like. This can make people feel pretty stressed out or even quite sad. If you identify with any of this I hope the following can offer some comfort.
