COPEScotland started producing a wee 'what's on' information booklet to help people feel connected to opportunities in their local community which may be of interest.
When COVID19 started to impact on events, groups, services and things being cancelled we stopped as we didn't want to maybe promote something which wasn't happening anymore.
Then when the emails started offering 1001 pieces of information we realised, ''Maybe it would be a good idea to restart the 'What's on' and TRY!! To have one place people can come locally for info''.
Now, this is a work in progress, like a lot of what is happening during the COVID 19 situation we are learning as we go.
However, feedback from the first new 'What's on' was really positive, and we were asked would be put it on our site so people could share links to it, we listened and here it is!
Our hope would be, to produce this weekly/two weekly and perhaps instead of 1001 emails which often we don't get time to read, or has similar content, the info people wanted to be shared could come to us, we would include in our updated 'What's on' which would share new information and the previous editions people could read if they wanted.
We would have a wee list of what was in previous copies. For people to refer back to.
As we get better at this; as like everything just now, we are all learning new skills, we may include some recipes, quizzes, crossword puzzles just to make it a wee bit more interesting. So, anything you want to see, please let us know.
We could even include wee short stories if you wanted to share something funny or inspirational which happened that others may find lifted, their mood.
These are strange times for us all, and its natural for anxiety maybe even fear to become an issue. The definition of Anxiety is:
''…… feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome.''
Think it's pretty safe to say, we are all in a situation with COVID19 which has an uncertain outcome so, in these circumstances' anxiety is natural.

Being connected, knowing how to look after our mental and emotional health can help us all manage the anxiety of living in uncertain times.
The wee 'What's on' we hope, will evolve into something which helps us all, even in a small way, to get through what we know to be, strange times.
